In last month’s Backfire, Alan Spencer wrote an article about his adventures on this year’s Exeter Trial. Alan happened to mention in passing that Channel 5 were out filming two of their presenters who had entered in a car. As he was running close to their car he had seen the TV crews out filming. It was a day or two later that I tuned into Fifth Gear and who should appear in several shots, but Alan in the DPS. One of the shots had a very nice close up of the club badge on his car. I hope all this TV fame does not go to his head!

What a great way to start the New Year by winning the Autoglym Quiz. You will read elsewhere in the magazine how the team from Bristol Pegasus qualified for the National final at the Heritage Centre at Gaydon and came away as the winners.

I am sure the evening of Monday 10th December must have presented a dilemma for many members, do I go to the Bristol Pegasus Motor Club AGM or do I go to the Led Zeppelin reunion concert in London? Well I am glad to report that a lot of you decided to head for the Wheatsheaf and we ended up with every seat in the Function Room taken and standing room only for the late arrivals.

I am now writing the last Chat for 2007, the year seems to have flown by and it will all too soon be over. However November was a busy month and started with the Club Night where we hooked up Chris Goodchild’s lap top and entered the Autoglym Motorsport Quiz. The format of the quiz is that clubs have to enter on line and have a set time to answer 100 questions. Each question comes up on the screen and you have a few seconds to make your selection from the multiple choice answers.

Most of my focus for October seemed to be centred on the Pegasus Sprint
and as far as I am concerned we had an excellent event this year.
