Why join our Club?
You will be able to compete (with the appropriate MSA Licence) on any ASWMC or ACSMC Championship Events, any of the many events Bristol Pegasus Motor Club is invited to and of course Bristol Pegasus Motor Club's own events. You will receive Backfire (our clubs magazine) with information on upcoming events and be able to take part in any social events.
Renewal:
Membership cards expire on the 31st December and you must have a current membership card to enter any club event from that date. However, if you renew anytime up to the following 31st March you will keep continuity of membership from the previous year. (ie You have a three months period of grace if you don’t need a card!)
Application:
As a new member your membership card will expire on 31st December of the current year unless you join after 1st October when your membership card will expire on 31st December of the following year (ie up to 15 months)
Save money by downloading Backfire
We have always tried to keep our membership fees as low as possible, and this is even more important at the moment when many costs and bills are going up.
We are offering members the option of receiving Backfire via download over the web rather than the traditional printed version. For those who still prefer the printed version, it will continue to be available – we know many of you enjoy it dropping on the mat each month.
Obviously printing and postage is a large part of the clubs running costs and with postage expected to go up again next year, we are doing our best to offer value for money alternatives.
The new option will work as follows :-
- All members who we have an e-mail address for will receive a monthly e-mail with event details, you will receive this which ever option you choose. If you don't have e-mail don't worry all the information will still be in the printed version.
- This e-mail will also contain a link with which you can download Backfire – the download version will be in Adobe Acrobat pdf format which you can view, print and store on your computer. Most computers already have “Acrobat Reader” required to view this – if you don't have it already it is a free download. We will try to keep the size of the file to around 5Mb.
- As we provide you with a download link rather than attaching it to the e-mail, you can download Backfire when it suits you. We won't clog your mailbox up with large files.
- Members who have opted for the printed version can expect their paper copy to arrive around the same time.
Apart from the obvious cost savings, which will help the club and yourself, the download version will also be in full colour – and of course you can view it on screen, print as many copies as you like, or just print specific pages.
To choose the “Download Backfire” option simply tick the box on the membership form and send £10.
It's easy joining on our website
Don't forget the easiest way to renew or join the club is on our website and you can choose either option there as well. Joining or renewing online costs 50p more, which covers the cost the club is charged for accepting payments online – Our online transactions are provided by the biggest online companies, to make sure everything is secure. Paying online does however save you time, the cost of an envelope and stamp, and also makes sure all your name and address details are easy for our membership secretary to read. So select the “Download Backfire” option if joining on line and pay just £10.50 (£10 subscription plus 50p charge for online payment).
